This is the home of Gregory Speck, shot for a real estate story for the NY Times.  Gregory is a celebrity journalist and author and worked with Andy Warhol on Interview magazine during the 80’s.  Fittingly his place is across the street from the natural history museum in the historical Beresford building.  The animals are EVERYWHERE it’s kind of overwhelming.. But he didn’t kill any of them, they were all found in stores or taxidermist off casts and one was found in a grocery chiller.  The New York Times story by Michelle Higgins is here.

A couple of weeks ago a friend took me to visit the studio of Brooklyn based artist Dustin Yellin.  When we walked in my friend says “Well hello Jeff Koons”.  And it is definitely a large Koons-ish operation.  It takes up a big old warehouse space in Red hook, and is busy with people.  Some have the job of cutting out the thousands of tiny pictures that make up the mythical floating worlds arranged between layers of glass.  Dustin let me take some pictures of him with his human shaped ‘Psychogeographies’ pieces. He even got his gear off..
